The Stockholm Chess Federation's page on playing in the city says Kungsträdgården has a large chess board with pieces and several outdoor tables with fixed boards where players bring their own pieces. The page carries no date for this statement. The same page and the city's Culture Festival programme list a federation chess tent in Kungsträdgården on 12 to 16 August 2026, 12:00-19:00, a separate yearly event.
