Recurring chess tournaments in Stockholm 11

Over the turn of the year the Stockholm federation stages the Rilton Cup at Scandic Hotel Continental on Vasagatan, with a shorter Rilton Open alongside it. The Schacksalongerna on Ringvägen host the Stockholm Open in August, the Compo Cup weekend in spring and the federation's school-break tournaments for juniors at Easter and in the autumn half-term.

Svarta Hästen near Stureplan has its own numbered series, the Stockholm City Chess Festival and Queen's Gambit, and a hotel in Upplands Väsby gives its name to a run of grandmaster and international master norm tournaments. Junior grand prix events are held at Söraskolan in Åkersberga and at Stockholm International School. Dates are given per edition as the organiser lists them, and the organiser's page decides.
