Junior tournaments in Stockholm 4

For young players the Stockholm year has fixed points. In the Easter break and the autumn half-term the Stockholm federation holds a junior tournament at the Schacksalongerna on Ringvägen, and its page for juniors says a child can enter without belonging to a club. The Easter edition is played in two groups, with and without a clock, and is aimed mainly at children from the federation's school-chess clubs, but all juniors are welcome.

The junior grand prix, JGP for short, travels between clubs. The Skärgårdens JGP is played at Söraskolan in Åkersberga in late August, and the SIS Chess JGP is held in the hall of Stockholm International School at Norra Latin in spring, with groups for beginners in the edition the cards quote. Each card gives the edition dates as the organiser lists them.
